Random Updates..

Its been awhile since I wrote about my business in general. Lately I have used this site to repost items from the ACE Blog. Not to bore everyone with details of what has been happening behind the scenes for the last few months I thought I would start posting again on what is going on and how the process is going in running this business.

So I am over 18 months into running ACE Computer Services and I have to say it is still extremely enjoyable. It has taken a long time to get running and comfortable but the background work - websites, page rankings, logos, preparation, etc. - are really paying off now. Business is steady and the customers are great. Part of my reason to do this - aside from the fact that some companies are absolutely ripping people off for computer service rates - was to help people. I know that sounds lame but I am serious. There is no better feeling than to provide a service to someone else and see them appreciate the work done. Thankfully I have had a chance to work with a lot of great people and I would like to think I give them a lot of value for my services.

One way I judge that is through referrals - there is no greater measure of your impact as a business (in my opinion) than the referral. That first customer likes what you did and recommends you to a friend, family member, etc. Lately I have been getting a lot of referrals, which is great.

One business update for today - I just recently joined the Better Business Bureau and became certified and all. I felt strongly about receiving this certification because as a customer I know I would trust the symbol myself. I also wanted it because I do my best to run this business by the standards and ethics that the BBB requires, so why not show some proof of that. It paid off right away as a recent customer let me know they called me because they saw the BBB logo on my website and that influenced their decision. That was some great feedback to receive.
